It is our pleasure to collaborate with Zephyra and Allegria, both under the co-direction of Fiona Blackburn and Sandra Meister, for this concert and to dedicate all of the proceeds to Shelter to Home.
Shelter to Home helps people transition from living in shelters to homes of their own where they can live independently. It is run out of Highlands United Church, which is where we hope to see you April 28 at 2:30 pm!
If you’re like me, spring puts, well, a little “spring” in my step! And what pairs better with lighter footsteps than some beautiful music sung from the heart?!
Intrigued by the title, I asked our Director, Janet Warren, what inspired our original Pairings and now a return with Pairings 2.0. She pointed to the broad range of styles and eras of songs we sing, “With our music, it may be music from 2 different centuries that say the same thing; 2 similar pieces but from different genres; or 2 pieces that totally contrast.”
Please join us as we round out another inspiring season of choral music and community, and perhaps you will discover some interesting pairings you might not have thought to put together!
We are pleased to join the talented ladies of Zephyra Women’s Choir yet again in concert at Highlands United Church in Edgemont Village this Sunday at 3:00 pm.
The proceeds from this concert will be donated to Shelter-to-Home. whose mission is to help “people living on the North Shore, who are either transitioning from homelessness to independent living, or who are living on extremely limited incomes.”
